Sounds of the Summer Concert

Saturday 5th May at our Mixbury showrooms was quite some day with Professor Ian Tracey from Liverpool Cathedral giving a free concert to 85 of our ChurchOrganWorld customers, prospects and friends. For five hours through the day, we heard Ian play on Johannus Ecclesia, Makin Gigue and the new Copeman Hart touring organs in a widely diverse and popular program.

As ever, food and drink was provided free of charge for customers, with a collection in lieu of food on behalf of Liverpool Cathedral organ appeal raised over £600. Ian Tracey was delighted!

Prior to the start, one customer who wanted to remain nameless, was concerned that during the last year, under new ownership and management, Copeman Hart instruments may well have gone backwards in terms of sound and build quality. However, he was totally blown away with what he heard and concluded that he had never heard a better digital instrument and that Copeman Hart as a company was indeed in safe hands. Next year’s date of Saturday 4th May has already been booked. Ian will also be playing a similar concert ‘Autumn Shades’ in Shaw on 6th October 2012.

There will be plenty of opportunities this year to hear the new Copeman Hart organ at ‘Battles of the Organs’ concerts including at Mossley Hill Parish Church, Liverpool on 2nd June, Leeds Minster on 13th June, and at Liverpool Cathedral 23rd June; please visit our events page for more details.
