We are delighted to be able to give you a little more information about this sensational new book by Peter Lynan, an ex-chorister and organ scholar at Liverpool Cathedral. Since 2026 is the centenary of the organ, this is such an appropriate time to write and publish a detailed history of it. Publication will be on 17th October 2026 at the Anniversary Recital.
The book is printed in colour, but with many historic greyscale image. It has 267 printed pages and is available in two editions, the paperback edition and a limited run hardback edition which will be numbered and signed by Peter.
From what we have seen to date the book contains many original and rare photos of the organ being built. However, Ian Tracey tells Keith that our good friend Ben Anguige has had the run of the various organ lofts and taken many sensational new photos.
