Just prior to Easter 2024 we re-installed the rebuilt three manual Copeman Hart organ at Our Lady & St Michael in Abergavenny. Director of Music, Mrs Janette Disson, after playing the organ for three hours said “It’s wonderful. Thank you so much”.
In the next few weeks, Ian Tracey and Keith Harrington will fully voice the organ in church. The new light oak, height adjustable bench, will gradually deepen in colour to match the console in eighteen months or so.
Janette like many others have said that the spirit, ethos and quality of Ernest Hart’s six decades at Copeman Hart continues into the future with both new instruments such wonderful rebuilds of older instruments. We are currently working on three more significant Copeman Hart rebuilds at All Saints Crowborough, St Nicholas Sevenoaks and at a private home in Seascale … many others are in the pipeline.
