Within the next few days we anticipate the arrival of our new Thirlmere organ in both Shaw and Mixbury showrooms. Designed in conjunction with Professor Ian Tracey, this is very much a next generation home practice or church organ with a full English specification and sound. Built in a quality tabstop console, this two manual instrument boasts thirty speaking stops spread over nine channels of amplification which ensures that the sound will be top notch with separate sound samples for every single note of every single stop … only Makin take this much care with sound.
Dr Keith Harrington, Managing Director of ChurchOrganWorld, commented “ I am thoroughly looking forward to the first Thirlmere organ being moved into the showroom when Ian will weave his magic with the voicing.” He added, “When customers hear this new instrument, they will understand why we decided to cease production of the incredibly popular Village, Jubilee and Sapphire models. The best simply got better.” Additional details about the organ can be found on the website.
Ian Tracey will be playing the Thirlmere at the forthcoming ‘Sounds of the Summer’ concert at Mixbury on 4th May for which we have a few tickets remaining. In advance of this our showrooms are open on Monday to Friday from 09:00 until 17:00, and into the evening by appointment. In addition, both Shaw and Mixbury showrooms will be opened on Saturday 20th April from 10:00 until 16:00 so you can try the Thirlmere out by yourself. Please simply call us on 01706 888 100 to book your own time in either showroom.
For the first ten instruments sold, ChurchOrganWorld has a very special fully inclusive price starting at just £16,500 for a home installation. In advance of delivery we have already received orders for four instruments so customers will have to move fast to take advantage of the special introductory price.
