Autumn Shades 2015

A limited number of tickets are now available for our ever popular annual ‘Autumn Shades’ event to be held at our Shaw showroom on Saturday 3rd October 2015 from 10:00 when Ian Tracey will be playing once again. However, this will be a day with a difference as during the afternoon Ian will be playing a Makin Thirlmere organ recently installed and voiced at Holy Trinity Church in Shaw which is just yards from our showroom. This is a simply stunning church with a nice acoustic and we hope that others will join us for this informal recital and organ tour.

During the intervals, our increasing selection of sheet organ music from various publishers, including of course our own, will be available for purchase, together with organ and choral CD’s from Priory Records and organ shoes. Jan and Bill Wolfenden will be selling items from their Liverpool Cathedral organ supporters stall.

Tickets for the event are £10 per person; all of which goes to the Liverpool Cathedral organ appeal. As I am sure you will agree, this is tremendous value for money for such an event. As in previous years food and drink will be provided free of charge during the day. If you would like to request tickets, and in order to help the day’s events run smoothly, payment in advance would be appreciated. For administrative and accounting purposes, please pay be cheque made payable to ‘Liverpool Cathedral Foundation (Organ Appeal)’ and sent to Makin Organs Ltd, Sovereign House, 30 Manchester Road, Shaw OL2 7DE. We will send out your personalised ticket(s) nearer the time. If applicable, please consider using Gift Aid to make your donation enabling Liverpool Cathedral Foundation to claim tax relief of 25p on every pound you give. If you wish to do this, please let us know and we will check whether a declaration form needs to be completed.
