Our Autumn Shades 2016 is fast approaching with a limited number of tickets remaining for Saturday 1st October 2016 when Professor Ian Tracey will be playing once again in Shaw, Lancashire. Doors open at 09:30. In addition to demonstrating instruments in our showroom, including the four manual Makin, Ian will again play for part of the day on the Thirlmere organ at the adjacent Holy Trinity Church. New this year is a simply remarkable instrument, the LiVE from Johannus; interest in and sales of which have been simply astonishing. Finally, since we are now the sole Rodgers importer to the UK, you will also be able to hear the fine three manual Rodgers Artist organ as well. Only with ChurchOrganWorld can you see four very different brands under one roof!
During the intervals, our increasing selection of sheet organ music from various publishers, including of course our own, will be available for purchase. In addition, we will have organ and choral CD’s from Priory Records and OrganMaster organ shoes. Jan and Bill Wolfenden will be selling items from their Liverpool Cathedral organ supporters stall.
Tickets for the event are £10 per person; all of which goes to the Liverpool Cathedral Organ Appeal. As I am sure you will agree, this is tremendous value for money for such an event. As in previous years food and drink will be provided free of charge during the day. If you would like to request tickets, and in order to help the day’s events run smoothly, payment in advance would be appreciated. For administrative and accounting purposes, please pay by cheque made payable to ‘Liverpool Cathedral Foundation (Organ Appeal)’ and send to Makin Organs Ltd, Sovereign House, 30 Manchester Road, Shaw OL2 7DE. We will send out your personalised ticket(s) nearer the time.
If applicable, please consider using Gift Aid to make your donation enabling Liverpool Cathedral Foundation to claim tax relief of 25p on every pound you give. If you wish to do this, please let us know and we will check whether a declaration form needs to be completed.
