The new prototype Makin Thirlmere 2-36D and Windermere 3-53D organs were unveiled for the first time in public at our annual Autumn Shades recital day on Saturday 7th October in Shaw. The assembled audience of 50 discerning organists were most impressed at the beauty of the consoles and totally mesmerised by the enhanced quality of the sound. Ian Tracey gave a brief demo of the capabilities of the Windermere 3-53D by one of his unique tours of organ sounds.
