Late Summer news and events from ChurchOrgan World

We have three events which will be of considerable interest for organists and lovers of organ music.

Firstly, tickets are now available for the fifth annual ‘Autumn Shades’ concert with Professor Ian Tracey to be held at Makin Shaw on Saturday 6th October 2012 from 10:30 until 15:30. Following last year’s pattern, Ian will be playing four ‘mini concerts’ on various instruments. Lunch and other refreshments will be provided, with donations going to the Liverpool Cathedral organ appeal fund. A selection of sheet organ music will be on sale. Please do pass on this message to your organist friends who may be interested in attending. Tickets are free, but strictly limited in numbers, so it will be first come, first served. Secondly, on Saturday 13th October, we are holding a Copeman Hart open day from 10:00 until 16:00 at Gillingham Methodist Church in Dorset where you will be able to hear and play the new Copeman Hart touring organ which is involved in a Battle of Organs on the same evening with Ian Tracey and Keith Hearnshaw.

Finally, our last Roadshow of the year is being held at St Augustine of Hippo Church, St Austell, Cornwall, 10:00 until 16:00 on Saturday 3rd November. In addition to the installed Copeman Hart instrument we will also have representative instruments from Makin and Johannus, together with a selection of sheet organ music for sale.
