Chrissie & Chris Rawsthorne and Liz, his wife, have requested a very private cremation, followed by a great service of thanksgiving and celebration at the Liverpool Cathedral, which looks like being Sunday 3rd March at 3.00pm.
Noel’s ashes will be interred under the North-side of the organ, alongside those of Gossy, during Evensong on Saturday 19th October, preceding the 93rd Anniversary Recital. Do please let this be known as widely as possible, and please hold Noel and the family in your prayers in these coming days. May he rest in peace and rise in Glory.
Having been a great supporter of Makin Organs for many years, Noel came to Shaw with Ian Tracey on a private visit in 2011 and then played as a special guest performer with Ian Tracey at Autumn Shades in October 2013.
