Just a few tickets remain for Sounds of the Summer 2024. It is being held this year on Saturday 4th May 2024 in Mixbury (NN13 5RN). This annual event featuring Professor Ian Tracey first started in 2008 and is now in its 15th year. Amongst other instruments, such as the ever-popular Johannus LiVE III AGO, Ian will be playing the all new Makin Thirlmere 2-36 drawstop organ.
Doors open from 09:30 with the event starting at 10:00. It includes four mini organ recitals by Ian, with plenty of breaks for tea/coffee, lunch and retail therapy including our vast selection of sheet organ music and much more in our tented village. The day tends to finish around 15:30.
Entry is strictly by ticket only which are now available online here, priced at £15.00 each with proceeds going towards maintenance of the organs at Liverpool Cathedral. Ian’s programme for the day will follow in due course.
The corresponding ‘Autumn Shades’ event in Shaw will be held on Saturday 5th October; tickets at £15.00 each can be purchased here.
