We went to look at the historic church od All Saints in St Ives, Cambridge, but it was locked but, by chance, the vicar was inside playing the organ and heard us. He opened up and showed us around, some work is in progress. A church with so much history, Oliver Cromwell worshipped here, and in the late 1800’s additions were made in the Gothic style. The organ has to be heard to be believed, it is a digital one, but nobody but an expert could distinguish it from the original pipe organ. A wonderful experience, with many thanks to a busy man with so many other jobs to do.
